KOMPASS 2019 awarded to Simon Helling

Simon Helling made the first place in the KOMPASS-Award 2019 dedicated to innovative scientific work from Schleswig-Holstein in the maritime sector. Simon received the award for his master thesis addressing optimal path planning for autonomous ships using a flatness-based approach. The thesis was advised by Max Lutz and Prof. Thomas Meurer. Congratulations to Simon!

Professor-Werner-Petersen-Award for Jan Reinhold

Congratulations to Jan Reinhold for receiving the 2018 Professor-Werner-Petersen-Award for the best Master Thesis. We are pround that members of our group have received this award twice in a row with Manuel Amersdorfer being the 2017 recipient. Jan's master thesis "Trajektorienplanung für den Transport von schwappenden Flüssigkeiten mittels eines 7-DOF Industrieroboters" was supervised by Manuel Amersdorfer  and Prof. Thomas Meurer.

German Kickoff of the EU Interreg Project InProReg

Prof. Meurer gave a presentation at the "Deutsch-Dänisches Automatisierungsforum" (German-Danish Automation Forum) addressing the use of robots in industrial manufacturing and the arising control problems. Congratulations to Manuel Amersdorfer for receiving the 2018 Professor-Werner-Petersen-Award for the best Master Thesis. His master thesis entitled "Cartesian Impedance Control of a Mobile Robot Arm based on the Example of the KUKA youBot" was supervised by Philipp Rosenzweig and Prof. Thomas Meurer.
