Seminar Selected Topic in Automatic Control (etit-810)

Ausgewählte Kapitel der Regelungstechnik /Selected Topics in Automatic Control
S; 2 SWS; ECTS-Points: 4
Lecturer: Dr. Alexander Schaum, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Thomas Meurer

This seminar addresses different topics in automatic control. For the current semester the following topics will be addressed:

  • Linear and nonlinear observability
  • Observer design for linear systems with unknown inputs
  • Nonlinear observer design approaches.

The seminar consists of a lecture part (about 6 weeks) followed by a take-home exercise, which has to be prepared individually and has to include a presentation of the obtained results.

Note: Preliminary knowledge on nonlinear control systems is helpful but not obligatory.
